  1. We should have worksheets that gets students to collaborate rather than just individual work.

Worksheets should also get students to do something new and not repeat doing the same work.

Worksheets should get students use higher order thinking skills to do.

  2. It is good to learn new things.Learning new things make you more knowledge hungry , last class was good, Pic monkey was a new information. Editing pics easily saves time and i thing we can use this for inserting pic in our worksheet also, Creating lesson plan and making it available to students and parent makes teaching learning transparent, making worksheet available online gives everyone a chance to redo and practice. How about the topical test or project ? why cant we give it online and they do it with time constrain or without time constrain, students making there own presentation posting it or giving link to every one, peer reviewing it. Makes teaching learning more interesting , rather than using the old conventional method. But planning is very important aspect as there is a time limit for each topics.

  3. DC101 RULES!

really enjoyed all the lessons so far and for sure its going to be MORE interesting and exciting.

I definitely agree that lesson plans should be a living breathing documents, an on-going process of teaching and learning documents. It is tough to always keep updating the lesson plan if it is in a form of hard copy. Now that Mr Mano showed us using the google docs that can be opened in the classroom and updating straight away as we teach. I’ll try to do it!

I’m interested in an online quiz that can analyze the students weaknesses in certain topics from that quiz, so the teacher can focus more on that specific topic and give more worksheet on that topic.

    Can’t wait for next session!

  4. Thank you and kudos to you Mr Mano for starting this useful and insightful training for teachers! I think in-school trainings are very important for teachers as means to be enriched with new information and to exchange ideas from fellow educators to another. I think that more trainings like this should be offered in a more regular basis throughout the year. At first teachers might feel that it is a burden going to trainings, but they will surely reap the benefits 🙂

  5. Worksheets that we give to students should be effective, meaningful and testing students at the correct level of difficulty. Creating great worksheets requires ample amount of time, so it is quite challenging to do. If teachers can share their best practices, it will definitely be helpful to other teachers.
