In the last twelve months we have introduced iPads in the school . The main reason of its introduction has been to explore the possibility of introducing blended learning. Due to intense curriculum demands and the shortage of time, blended learning was thought of as a possible solution to afford teacher more time in the classroom for deeper exploration and introduce self learning skills to students. The idea was mooted by myself and a few others  and we intend to use iTunes U to create and deliver courses. We are still in the introductory stages, having trained the teachers we are now planning a field experience so that teachers could see the possibilities on how this technology can be used to develop blended learning courses.
